What the site stores, and how you can manage your information.
Essential data
You do not need an account to browse the public directory. The site uses an essential HttpOnly session cookie for sign-in, saved tools, submission ownership and protection against cross-site actions. Your comparison list is stored in this browser’s localStorage.
Sign-in and contact
When you sign in through an email verification link, we store your email, verification time and necessary security records. Contact messages, reports and submissions retain the content you provide so editors can process cases, review material and respond. Do not submit passwords, API keys or sensitive personal information.
Third-party services
When email delivery is enabled in production, sign-in messages are sent through the configured email provider. When Polar payments are enabled, Polar processes checkout and necessary transaction information. We do not store payment card numbers. When you follow a link to a tool’s website, that website’s own policies apply.
Tracking and public content
This version has no advertising tracking pixels or third-party traffic analytics. Submitted tool descriptions, author names and articles become public only after editorial approval and publication. Contact emails, case messages and orders are not included in the public directory.
Access, correction and deletion
You can request access, corrections or deletion through the contact form. The operator will verify your identity before making changes to prevent unauthorized access or deletion. Records needed for transactions, security or disputes may need to be retained separately. Clearing browser data removes your comparison list and guest session. Sign in first to preserve information you need.
